We now host three free quilting bees, no membership required! Bring your own project and supplies. 

• Weekly on Tuesdays, 9:00-2:00 at the Christiansburg Library

• Weekly on Thursdays, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Community Room of the Blacksburg Library

This committee sets annual goals, selects charities, assembles/distributes kits, collects/delivers quilts and other care projects. Our two current charity projects are: 

• small quilts for the Montgomery County Christmas Store (find the pattern)

• bags for the Women's Resource Center for the New River Valley

May 8, 6-8 pm

Up-cycle or recycle garments from your wardrobe or ones you find in a thrift shop using simple stitches. This class will demonstrate a wide variety of ideas.  Teens and adults.  Contact the Montgomery Floyd Regional Library at Blacksburg to register.

Learn straight line stitching and use of a sewing machine while creating a pillow case to take home and use.  All supplies provided.  Scissors and irons will be used. Registration required. Contact the Montgomery Floyd Regional Library at Blacksburg to register.
